Lessons
Booking.
1.1: By booking a class you are contractually agreeing to that class on your chosen day for the duration of the term.
1.2: Booking are to be completed via our booking system. Which will send you a confirmation email will all the relevant details regarding your child’s/ren’s lesson(s). This will also outline how much is owed and how to pay for the lessons.
1.3: if you wish to cancel your lessons you must given it in writing and 14 days notice is required in order to find a suitable customer to place the place.
Payment.
2.1: Payments must be made in full before lessons commence.
2.2: All payments are to be made at the time of booking once notification of payment your place will be secured.
2.3: Failure of payment will mean your child will be removed from that class and the space will go to the next person on the waiting list.
2.4: Please ensure all details are up to date and correct.
2.5: Please note payments must be made and confirmed before your lessons can commence.
2.6: No payment details are stored by Perform Swim Academy as all payments go through a third party company.
Refunds
3.1: If you wish to cancel your lessons refunds will not be issued until a suitable replacement has been found to replace your booking, once this has been established then you will be notified regarding your refund.
3.2: Refunds may take up to 14 days (from finding suitable replacement), to process and reach your account.
3.3: Refunds incur a slight admin charge for processing which will be deducted from the amount. You will be made aware of the figure by the admin team.
3.4: To request a refund please contact refunds@perfromswimacademy.com
3.5: You cannot request a refund for lessons missed due to short term illness (such as cold,sickness bug, ear infection etc), family events, holidays, birthdays.
3.6: The refund can only be processed on the card our third party provider is supplied with.
Changes by us
4.1: We reserve the right to make any changes to lesson times at any time, we will endeavour to do our upmost to contact you to notify you of any changes made by us.
4.2: If there is going to be a teacher change we will always try to notify you at the earliest connivence, if your normal teacher is to change at short notice you will receive a text message at least 1 hour before your lesson start time.
4.3: If a teacher is going to be leaving in the long term then you will be notified of the change and the new teachers name and bit about them.
4.4: If a teacher is due to change then we will do pour very best to have a 2/3 week transitional period with both teachers in the same class.
4.5: If there is any changes to lessons or location we will notify you by text, email or call it will also be posted on our social media,
Cancellations
5.1: If we cancel a lesson you will be notified as soon as we possibly can via text, social media, email or call.
5.2: Please note some cancellations may be due to facility or such events as fire, water temperature, chemical imbalance, injury or death, electricity, staffing, structural damage, floods, terrorist acts etc.
5.3: If any of the above take place we will ensure your are rearranged.
5.4: We reserve the right to cancel any pupils lessons if they are abusive, violent, cause injury intentionally, cause significant harm to another or member of staff, or do not follow safety rules or instructions given by any member of staff persistently. Some of the above applies to parents.
Liability
6.1: We do not take any responsibility for any property left onsite as it is left entirely at your own risk.
6.2: We do not hold any responsibility for children before or after the children have been handed to a parent or guardian.
6.3: We do not accept or hold any liability for cars left in the car park onsite these are left entirely at your own risk.
6.4: We do not hold any responsibility for you or your child if any injuries, medical issues (new), significant injury, death, significant health problems, sustained by any lessons due to any information not being disclosed at time of booking or due to rules not being followed.
6.5: We are not responsibility for any child that damages, causes harm, or destroys property of another this also includes any legal fees incurred to rectify and such damage, harm or destruction of one property.
Nappies.
7.1: Please do not leave any nappies onsite or outside the facilities unless a nappy bin is provided by Perform Swim Academy.
7.2: For all baby and preschool lessons for those children that are not children please double nappy this means using a disposable swim nappy, covered by a happy nappy. Any one found not wearing double nappies will be refused entry into the pool. We ask this to keep you, your child and other safe and minimise the risk of pool closure.
7.3: If you refused entry due to no double nappy then your lesson will not be refunded or credited for lesson as it is part of our agreement of lessons commencing.
Illness & Medical Conditions.
8.1: You are responsible for ensuring that you and or your child are physically fit for lessons and have confirmed with doctor if otherwise.
8.2: All/any medical conditions should be disclosed at time of booking Perform Swim Academy staff, regarding any party involved in the booking of lessons.
8.3: No child should attend if they have been ill on the day of lesson or 24 hours before.
8.4: Your child or yourself should not attend lessons for 48 hours if you or your child have been unwell this for health and safety for yourself, other and staff.
8.5: If you or your child have displayed any symptoms or are confirmed to have any of the following illness your should not attend for 14 days minimum or until you seek medical confirmation by a medical professional. In the rare case we may ask for a doctors note to confirm for our record and insurance purposes. You may be refused if you or another of you party are displaying symptoms of COVID 19, E- Coli, Diarrhoea, Cryptosporidium or any other illness.
COVID 19
9.1: If you are displaying symptoms of coronavirus you are NOT to attend any lessons until a negative test result is displayed.
9.2: If you have coronavirus then you are NOT to attend any lessons. You must follow the government guidelines on self isolation and only return to your lessons once you have a negative test result.
9.3: If you have been in close contact with another from within the academy then you must notify us as soon as possible so we can put measures into place for staff and other students as well as communicate with the other person you have been in close contact with as they will need to isolate too and will not be allowed to continue their lessons until they have a negative test reading.
9.4: You must obey the 2 metre rule when walking around the site.
9.5: You must come beach ready and leave straight after the class, we will have a link to a shop which sells various swim related products which you may find useful to keep warm and dry.
9.6: The venue at present are not allowing the changing rooms to be open due to COVID 19 this is for your safety and others as well as advice from the governing bodies.
9.7: There is no access poolside for parent viewing normally we would be able to allow a small number of parents but due to the venues COVID 19 regulations they are asking to be as minimal amount of people in the venue at any one time. Parents may drop children off poolside but then must leave the building and either wait outside or in their cars until the lesson finishes you may then collect children from poolside if you so wish, otherwise they will be waiting with a member of staff at the drop off point.
9.8: All staff will be wearing the appropriate PPE as required by the government and all teachers will follow social distancing guidelines within their classes.
9.9: At the drop off point all children and or parents will under take a temperature check before lessons. This will be a non contact temperature check. Everyone will be asked to sanitise their hands upon entry.
9.10: Extra cleaning will be in place for equipment that is used in between lessons.
9.11: A COVID KIT will be present with the lifeguard on poolside at all times.
9.12: Masks are to be worn by parents who are dropping off as their may be times where you are less than 2 metres apart.
9.13: Track and Trace must be completed before lessons this can be found attached to bookings or on our website and or social media.
9.14: Parents are responsible for their children being 2 metres apart at drop off and collection.
Photography
10.1: Whilst we at Perform appreciate you would like to take photographs of your child’s swimming progress we do not permit photography without verbal or written consent from other parents.
10.2: Occasionally we may ask permission from you if we can take photographs of your children for social media posts and these will either be taken using a company phone by those who have access as not everyone will or from an independent photographer, where if you wish you may view the photo and if you would like to purchase we can pass this on to the photographer.
10.3: If you are to post any photographs of your child on social media please ensure it is of only your child and you may tag the company in. Please be aware that if you have another child in the photograph you either crop or do not post as their may be child protection issues.
10.4: If you require a picture for a school log we may let your child stay for a few minutes after class to demonstrate the skills so you can take a photograph.
10.6: No photography is allowed to be taken without permission from all other parents and teachers consent.
Additional information
Pushchairs are not permitted in the building and if left outside are at your own risk.
Food is strictly forbidden and anyone caught with food onsite eating will be emailed and spoken to which if you are caught numerous times will result in lessons being cancelled as this costs the company additional fees to clean and sanitise.
No footwear is to be worn poolside.
We do advise jewellery is taken out before swimming starts.
We do strongly advise any swimmers with long hair that it is tied up and put in a swimming hat.
Talcum powder is strictly forbidden as this can cause a slippage and or mess in the changing rooms, it can also affect the pool chemicals.
Noise must be kept to a minimum as there are students boarding at some of our sites.
Smoking is strictly forbidden on site as it is a no smoking site anyone caught smoking will be dealt with accordingly.
Please try to keep noise to a minimum on poolside as it can affect the swimmers in the pool hearing important instructions from there teacher.
Post COVID please ensure you have showered before entering the pool.
By acknowledging these terms and conditions you are accepting the agreement to these terms and the companies rules and conditions of lessons.
